I found this business online after an exhaustive search for a trustworthy place with good reviews. I had a service engine light that I had been trying to resolve for a while. I had attempted all of the basic repair options myself, and suspected it was electrical issue that I didn’t have the tools or the experience to repair. Another local repair shop, up the street from this business, quoted me more than $400 just to get started, and didn’t seem to care that I had already done a lot of the trouble shooting repairs myself. They basically said they would likely replace all of the items I had already replaced. ME Automotive Repair in Buda was different! The reviews we’re positive and when I called to set an appointment they were super nice! When I arrived, Jonathan listened to the things I had already done to try and fix the problem and didn’t disregard my experience or attempts to repair it myself. They did a full diagnostic , which was the cheapest I found anywhere, and then Chris, the technician found that the problem was an electrical issue, a broken wire back further than I could see it. Because of the brittle wiring, they suggested replacing the electrical connector itself and when the dealer gave them the wrong part, they took the two connectors and built one that worked! They did all of this for less than a third of what the other shop had quoted me and for less than a lot of places wanted just for the diagnostic itself! They also gave me 1/2 off the diagnostic fee, for having the repair work done there. Our family has three cars and this will be our go to place from now on! Oh and you have to give the shop cat Tally a little pet!
