Just took my car in because I was getting a service notification and also needed an oil change and inspection. ME Automotive Repair allowed me to leave my car after hours and started work on it first thing the next morning. For every service they did, they made sure to call and discuss the cost and the steps they would be taking, so that there was no sticker shock. ME was able to get a full diagnostic check, oil change, and inspection done and I had my car back within 24 hours of my after hours drop off. ME called me and let me know that they ran a bunch of tests and couldn’t find any issues with the car and they were able to reset the light that turned on. Because of this, they waived the fee for the diagnostic check and I only had to pay for the oil change and inspection. I paid $69 after taxes for the whole experience! I don’t remember the last time I’ve gone to a mechanic or dealership service center and not shelled out hundreds of dollars for issues that may or may not have actually existed. I’ve had such bad experiences in Austin, but this place is legitimate. This was by far the BEST mechanic experience I have ever had in the Austin area and will definitely be my only mechanic from now on. If you need a place that is honest, communicates every step of the way, and does quick and solid work: THIS is that place.
